The company AGF Overtoom, located at the Amsterdam Food Center began as a fresh produce specialist, but has since grown into a total supplier of fresh, convenience and frozen products, as well as a complete service package of dry groceries.
For about 10 years, the company has been a satisfied user of the AlfaPro software system. Working closely with general manager Kurty Ozdemir, we have been looking after the entire ICT environment for four years. Since we saw opportunities for efficiency and great ease of use, we advised Kurty to switch to NEXT. Amerik and Jos took up this project and implemented NEXT with associated hardware. Read the customer query below and find out how we fixed things.
Customer query
- Switch from AlfaPro to NEXT based on good experience with the ‘old’ system and confidence in the company ALFA PRO
- Be able to perform the same operations as in the previous system AlfaPro
Solution
AlfaPro was replaced by NEXT and the total hardware environment and PDAs were supplied and managed by us. All ICT issues are therefore in good hands with the hardware department.
With the PDAs provided, mobile sales are recorded in NEXT. A packing slip can be printed from the PDA and then customers can pay at the counter where NEXT checkout functionality runs on the PCs.
Furthermore, AGF Overtoom is now able to carry out stock management on the same PDAs, thereby working efficiently and saving time.
Result
New user-friendly software that can be accessed from anywhere in the world because NEXT runs in the cloud. With one click, you log in to NEXT’s web client and see all logistical, commercial and administrative processes clearly displayed.
Comments general manager Kurty Ozdemir
‘It is nice to be able to put all your automation needs down with a party that takes care of your complete ICT environment. The introduction of the ERP software package AlfaPro NEXT was a hit for us. This allows us to create customers or enter products from anywhere in the world, whether we are in Tokyo or Africa. All you need is a laptop or smartphone with internet connection’
