‘Time for a change!’ thought Patrick Dobbe, when his business moved to the new ‘Green Trade Center’ in Aalsmeer, where Waterdrinker is also based.
Dobbeflowers, a cash & carry business specialising in exclusive cut flowers, decorative materials and florist accessories, has been an ALFA PRO customer for around 15 years.
Patrick Dobbe was looking to renew and improve his business processes. Our colleague Nenad was responsible for implementing this project.
- Replacement of existing system with our new NEXT software
- Improving existing work flow
- New webshop
The AlfaPro software was replaced by the new NEXT system. Our browser-based Webclient is being used for sales on the new tablets. These tablets are also used for order picking, stock management (and internal communication).
The new webshop has been set up and delivered.
New premises, new software. Since the introduction of tablets for order picking and stock management, Dobbeflowers has been making serious strides in terms of accuracy, leading to fewer stock discrepancies and losses.
Time savings have been gained as a result of various business processes running more smoothly. Take, for example, the registration of purchases and purchasing from third-parties.
The new webshop has a more refreshing, uncluttered look and is easy to use, which ties in completely with Patrick’s philosophy and objectives (i.e. ‘renewal’.)
Dobbeflowers is constantly looking at how to improve its business processes. We look at each new NEXT version to see what ties in with this.
Data transparency is one such example. This can be realised with the integration of Power BI in NEXT.
Reaction of Dobbeflowers
Patrick Dobbe: ‘The migration to NEXT went smoothly. I was a bit worried to start with, because change is never without complications, but it went much better then expected.
We had regular weekly contact to discuss all the findings that came up during the test phase. This meant that the day we went ‘live’ we encountered no implementation problems whatsoever.
I was pleased by the whole process and I anticipate the same in the future so that we can continue perfecting the package until it meets our needs exactly.’
